[dt. »Silicium mit kontinuierlicher Struktur«], Material und gleichnamiges Verfahren zur Verbesserung der Eigenschaften von Flüssigkristall-Bildschirmen (LCDs). Das Ende der 1990er-Jahre von Sharp entwickelte Verfahren stellt die Dünnfilmtransistoren (TFT) nicht mehr aus amorphem Silicium her, sondern aus Polysilicium mit gleichmäßiger Struktur. Diese Form des Siliciums weist beweglichere Elektronen auf, was kürzere Reaktionszeiten, kleinere Transistoren und höhere Auflösungen erlaubt.
